Disposal comprises mixing material, in at least one mixing container (2), with input of mechanical power (stirrer(3), motor (4)), with a liq. combustible solvent medium until a virtually saturated soln. is obtd.. The insoluble foreign material contained in the explosive material is removed during the mixing process. The cleaned, satd. soln. is fed to the combustion chamber(s) (8) of at least one stationary gas turbine, in which it is burnt with compressed air. The mechanical power (PG) available after withdrawal of the compressor drive power (PV) is used for driving purpose (generator (13, pumps (20-22)). As liq. combustible solvent medium, acetone and/or at least one other ketone is used. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used to dispose of explosive material by burning.
