The workpiece (1) is clamped between a fixed jaw (15) and an adjustable jaw (16) mounted on a base (11) which has a row of indexing holes (31) and two guide slots (20,21) running concentrically about a point (19) in the cutting plane (18). The cutting angle and the pivoting position (22) for the fixed jaw (15) are adjustable relative to the cutting point (19). A motor driven circular blade (4) fixed in a frame hinged at the rear is lowered by the operator to cut the workpiece along line (18). ADVANTAGE - No tendency for the workpiece to lift out as the saw always cuts in downwards direction.
