Robot for driving a motor vehicle on a chassis dynamometer - has control elements for operating pedals and/or gear lever in body with connecting parts mounted on driver's seat
The control elements operate pedals and/or the gear lever of the vehicle in a body (2) which is mounted on the driver`s seat (34) using flexible connecting parts (38). A carrier part (4) mounted on the forward end of the body is designed to enable the connecting parts to be mounted on it at one of their ends. Gripping parts (45) at the other ends of the connecting parts are used for attachment to fixed parts on the body. The connecting parts may be belts or wires, pref. releasably attached to the carrier part. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use during efficiency and other tests on vehicle dynamometer. Robot for driving vehicle can be simply mounted on driver's seat and fixed to it.
