Cathode ray tube display device - supplies field coils with sawtooth current synchronous with deflection current of CRT

The display device includes a bipolar electromagnet (12) with field coils on the neck area of the CRT. The electromagnet has field coils for generating bipolar magnetic fields for deflecting electron beams in vertical and horizontal directions via a deflection yoke. A current supplying circuit (13,15) supplies the field coils a saw-tooth current with positive and negative half cycles synchronous with the deflection current of the CRT. A current control circuit (14,16) controls the amplitude of the saw tooth current. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g for TV. Incorrect setting of electron beams can be corrected simply and without complicated adjustment of fixing position of deflection yoke.
