A semi-solid mixt. which is plastically deformable at 20-40 deg. C comprises an oligomer- or polymer mixt. of D- or L-lactic acid homo-, block- or random polymer haivng an Mn of 600-10000, 800-8000, 1500-6000 or 1800-4000 and an amorphous, tough/viscous oligomer based on lactic acid having a Mn below 500, 400 or 350. ADVANTAGE - Prior art mixts. of lactic acid oligomers were either more or less tough/viscous for low mol. wts.(leading to a tendency to thread pulling) or brittle for high mol. wts.. The present mixts. have a waxy to pasty consistency and so do not have the prior art drawbacks.
