The packaging carton for the flat items, e.g. bathroom carpets, unfolds and is erected as an open topped display stand (A) whose raised sides (6,7) are bridged by a transverse hanging rail (Q) from which the items are hung. The rails are packed with the items and act as a stabilising spacer. A display and pricing etc. panel (9) is clipped to the top rear of the display and is packed as a spacer in the despatch package. The display can be refilled as required. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved display of flat items, such as bathroom carpets, rugs or mats, enabling simple customer choice, using a low cost display stand.
