In the production of tyres, particularly those for motor vehicles, the system for applying the beads has two horizontal guide tracks on at least one horizontal rail, the whole being mounted on a flat base, a mounting for a bead applicator, where the mounting is on the rail and has a centre hole through which the green tyre can be passed, a plate on the mounting with a vertical guide on each side, where at least one rail is at the top of each guide; the upper part of this rail has another mounting to hold a ring which applies the bead, and a cylinder held on the plate to move the ring obliquely up and down.
