Cold counter with constant defrosting temperature for loose and single foodstuff items - has two independent evaporator-fan circuits for circulating air and maintaining air circulation while one evaporator is defrosting
The cold counter has a forced air circulation around the food trays. There are at least two pipes (9) near the base of the counter for the air flow, the air streams joining after leaving the pipes and subdividing before entering again. Each pipe has an evaporator (11) to cool its airstream before it emerges and a fan (12) at its entry section. This drives the air through during the working phase of the evaporator but is shut off during the defrosting. Behind each fan is a flap valve (13) which allows unhindered air flow during the evaporator's working phase but which blocks the air flow during defrosting. ADVANTAGE - Defrosting is possible without temperature of cold counter changing so that foodstuffs are not impaired.
