Pressureless hot water storage tank for district heating system - has essentially horizontal radial conduits whose intersection with vertical duct is rounded and have smaller cross-section than adjacent duct parts
Pressureless hot water storage tank for district heating system - has essentially horizontal radial conduits whose intersection with vertical duct is rounded and have smaller cross-section than adjacent duct parts
The tank (1) has a cover (a) and a transverse partition (6) which separates cold water (5) from hot (4). In the upper part (4) is a duct system (7) for the supply an drawing off of hot water, and in the lower part is a similar duct system (8) for the supply and drawing off of cold water. When hot water is drawn off cold water automatically flows into the tank. A pipe (19) attached to a float (18) draws off hot water from just beneath the surface. The vertical duct (10) in the upper part of the tank is cone-shaped and is identical with that in the lower part, apart from the float (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - Hot-water storage. There is minimal turbulence in the water volume and the thinnest and most stable layer between hot and cold is maintained.
