The machine for breaking up a mixture of rock and soft material has a housing (2) with a charging inlet (3). The machine has a rotor (5) mounted on a horizontal shaft (4) which is installed in the lower part of the housing. A breaker jaw (6) is mounted on a support (8) above the rotor. The support (8) is attached to the housing by hydraulic cylinders (7) which enable the position of the jaw (6) relative to the rotor (5) to be adjusted. The jaw (6) is fitted with a hydraulically actuated sliding tool (11) which removes any soft material which sticks to the jaws when the machine is operating. USE/ADVANTAGE - Crushing a mixture of rock and soft material. The jaw is kept clear of adhering soft material.
