Camouflage material consisting of a textile structure based on threads in which pigments, powders and metal fibrils are incorporated and the length and diameter of which are determined in a known way as a function of the wavelengths used for detection by radar. It is characterised in that: the said textile structure is a non-woven structure consisting, on the one hand, of a lap of longitudinal filaments and, on the other hand, of transverse filaments superposed (without interlacing) on the said longitudinal threads, these longitudinal and transverse threads being spaced apart from one another so as to form a translucid openwork structure, the connection of the threads to one another being obtained by means of a binding material forming a sheath surrounding the threads constituting the non-woven openwork textile structure, a void remaining inside the meshes (aperture) located between the superposed longitudinal and transverse threads.
