Polypeptides capable of including in vivo protective antibodies against $i(P. falciparum), said antibodies being capable of a mediatory function on the phagocytose of $i(P. falciparum)-infected red corpuscles. The invention also concerns the used of said polypeptides or antibodies, especially of the monoclonal kind, recognizing these polypeptides, for carrying out in vitro methods of diagnosing paludism. Furthermore it aims to create polypeptide-based compositions which could lead to the production of vaccines.
