Double-disc tribometer intended for measuring tribological (frictional), mechanical and thermal phenomena existing between two discs (38, 48) in contact, including a support structure (1) from which a fixed assembly (3) and a mobile assembly (4) are suspended. Each fixed assembly (3) or mobile assembly allowing rotational driving of a disc (38, 48) comprises a casing (30, 40) joined to the support structure (1) by one or more adjustment links and supporting both a vertical drive electric pin (31, 41) and a vertical pin (32, 42) supporting the discs (38, 48) and driven in rotation by the corresponding drive electric pin. A permanent contact is kept between the discs (38, 48) by means of a mass (52) suspended from the end of a lever arm (47) integral with a bracket supporting the mobile vertical pin (42) and perpendicular thereto.
