New process for dyeing and bleaching textile articles consisting of a mixture of cellulosic or keratinous fibres and of synthetic fibres

Process consisting in: A) treating the article in an aqueous bath containing a dispersed dye, aqueous hydrogen peroxide and a sequestering agent activating the bleaching action of the aqueous hydrogen peroxide and chosen from phosphonic acid derivatives, the said bath having a pH of 4 to 7, so as to dye the synthetic fibres and begin the bleaching of the cellulosic or keratinous fibres; and B) at the end of stage (A), adjusting the pH of the bath to a value of 8 to 12 to additionally activate the aqueous hydrogen peroxide and allow the latter to act on the cellulosic or keratinous fibres until their bleaching is complete, the stages (A) and (B) being carried out without any bath draining or intermediate rinsing operation. Application especially to cotton/polyester textiles.
