The invention relates to a parquet element, especially parquet panel or sheet, comprising at least one support plate and at least one decorative plate adhesively bonded onto the support plate. The support plate (11) of this parquet element (10) includes at least one groove (14) made in its face adjacent to the decorative plate (12), this groove (14) being straight and crossing the entire width of the plate in order to decrease the tensions created by adhesive bonding and the surface treatments of the decorative plate and thus to improve the flatness of this element.
