The cushion consists of an envelope (3) of a supple material, and an inner layer of an elastic foam padding (2) which is held in place in a compressed state inside the envelope prior to use by virtue of the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the envelope. Otherwise the envelope can be pierced via a hole (15) in the container wall.The cushion can also be used, for example, to make a seat or mattress for camping or sports events.
