Flush fitting work station service termination floor box - uses suitably partitioned case with load bearing lid to hold segregated power and communications terminal sockets

The rectangular, flanged (19) box case has a lid (17), hinged (18) along one short side, set flush, or slightly depressed if a carpet covering is required. Edge notches allow equipment cabling to enter with the lid closed. The side walls (20,21) fit closely inside the protective outer box (28), and holes through both admit service connections (14a,14b,14c) from nearby under-floor distribution points. These terminate under the case bottom plate (sloped to drain condensation), with up to 6 power outlets (34), above the plate, and light-current sockets (32) on a vertical partition (24) rising to a raised section (25) carrying fuses and circuit-breakers, etc. A barrier plate (29) segregates power and light-current circuits. USE - Esp. for modular suspended slab floors with under-floor distribution.
