The anchor consists of a shaft (2) pivoted to a central block (3) with a fluke (1) on either side.Each fluke is flat and connected to a flange (6) which can be triangular, trapezoid, polygonal or curved in shape, being designed to wedge into recesses of corresponding shape at each end of the centre block, where they are held together by a rod which passes through holes (8, 9, 14) in the flanges, centre block and shaft and acts as a pivot for the shaft. The shaft can have two holes (9, 10) in it for the rod - one permitting an angle of 38-32 degrees, and the other an angle of 42-47 degrees. The rod can be fixed in place by a self-locking pin. ADVANTAGE -Is light weight and has improved grip on various sea bed surfaces.
