A swimming fish lure, to produce vibratory signals to attract fish. - Has an undercut frontal channel with a through hole, the passage of water over the channel and through the hole produces vibrations and induces the swimming action.
The swimming fish lure has an undercut (1) fashioned into the front part of the body. The undercut is hollow and forms a channel along the length of the body. The pressure of the water on the undercut affects the equilibrium of the swimming fish to produce high frequency vibrations. A tapered hole (2) leads from the undercut and forms a channel leading through the body of the lure. The flow of water through the hole causes turbulence and this induces low frequency vibrations of the body of the lure. As the hole is not absolutely necessary for the swimming action it can be used to contain material to provide odorous attraction for the fish. USE/ADVANTAGE - It can fulfil the three main requirements of a lure, vibration, appearance and smell, and provide an effective swimming action.
