The channel comprises a rectangular section with sidewalls (12,14) and a base (10). The end walls are enclosed, with a coaxial feed at one end. The upper section is open, and expands outwardly to a horn section (18,20) which has matching protruding sections. A central conducting section (26) runs along the long wall of the channel, and is held in position by a low dielectric material with a slot, which fills the channel bottom. The conducting strip is clear of the bottom wall and has integral formed sections (30) protruding horizontally at intervals in alternate directions. The TEM mode is propagated along the strip radiating electromagnetic energy via the horn. ADVANTAGE - Elements in antenna array produce wide frequency band, high directivity antenna with low side-lobes.
