MOUNTING OF MOTOR IN MOTOR-DRIVEN SLIDE POTENTIOMETER

A potentiometer has a motor (11) supported so that its longitudinal axis lies generally parallel to and underneath a lower frame (9), of a resistor unit and drives a slider (8) by means of toothed belt 31 extending between a toothed pulley 23 on the motor output shaft and pulley 33, the belt being guided by the curled extremity 17 of a wall 14 of the motor support 10. The motor 11 is seated on base wall 12 of support 10 and lug 25 of the base wall is crimped against the end of the motor. The support 10 is attached to the resistor unit by lug 26 of frame 9 being received in a hole in the wall 14 of the support 10 and the boss of motor bearing housing 30 being fitted in a hole formed in lug 27 of frame 9. Fixing means such as screws are not required, thus simplifying assembly of the potentiometer. IMAGE
