A control system 10 for a multi-zone space conditioning system, for example having local space heating and cooling units 16. A communication network interconnects the local heating and cooling units 16 with a remote central computer 12 which allows the remote central computer 12 to interrogate and overwrite parameters set at each local heating and cooling unit 16. Each local unit 16 is able to override the centrally-set operating condition for that unit. The control system may be used in a hotel and the computer 12 may perform billing and reservation functions.
