Monoclonal antibodies for prophylaxis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis

A monoclonal antibody to either or both of the leukocytic alpha sub-units CD-11a and CD-11b is used for the manufacture of a composition for the prophylaxis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis in mammals. A method of prophylaxis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis in mammals by the administration of an effective amount of a monoclonal antibody to either or both of the leukocytic alpha sub-units CD-11a and CD-11b is also provided.
