A frost-protection lining for traffic tunnels in cold climates comprises a layer of foamed thermoplastic (6) and a fireproof layer (8). The fireproof layer consists of a silicoaluminate produced from a moulding material which contains an inorganic, stone-forming component, an aqueous second component which induces the curing reaction of the stone-forming component in the alkaline range, and a foaming component. The inorganic, stone-forming component is preferably a solid chosen from the group consisting of (I) a fine-particle, at least partly amorphous aluminosilicate containing amorphous silica and alumina, (II) vitreous, amorphous electrofilter ash from high-temperature hard coal-fired power stations, (III) ground calcined bauxite, (IV) electrofilter ash from brown coal-fired power stations, (V) undissolved amorphous SiO2?, in particular from an amorphous, disperse-powdered, dehydrated or hydrated silicic acid or from high-temperature processes (silica fume), and (VI) metakaolin.
