PURPOSE:To decide the shift of simultaneously pushed keys in a simple constitution by deciding a simultaneous push action of keys when a shift key and a KANA (Japanese syllabary) key are pushed within a fixed period of time. CONSTITUTION:All keys are sorted into KANA character keys 1, a thumb shift key 2 and other function keys 3. When a pushed key is detected, the address of this pushed key is stored in a 3-byte buffer register 11. These stored contents are shifted every time a key is pushed newly. Then the contents stored in the buffer 11 are sent to a code comparator 12 and processed for each combination of the contents of the buffer 11. The codes are delivered when a shift state is decided. Then the addresses of keys 1 and 3 are delivered from an encoder 13 by the output of the comparator 12. It is possible to decide the shift direction of the keys which are pushed within 200ms before and after the key 2 by decoding the sorting numbers of pushed keys stored in the buffer 11.
