PURPOSE:To reduce an ozone generation by an air cleaner by using Co group amorphous wire containing a specific percentage of Cr as discharging wire. CONSTITUTION:Corona discharge wire 3 which is tensely spread in front of a charging filter 4 on the air inlet of an air purifier is Co group amorphous wire containing 2-16% of Cr. Consequently, the corrosion inhibitive and anti- oxidation properties of wire 3 and the smoothness of its surface and its chemical uniformity can be improved. Therefore, an ozone generation during corona discharge is reduced, an activated carbon consumption for ozone decomposition by the air cleaner 1 and the operating cost of the air cleaner 1 are cut down.
