PURPOSE:To automatically change direction of a spreading plate by constituting the subject device so as to detect the spreading plate conveyed by a conveyer device, operating an opening and closing device, closing a catching device, catching the edge of spreading plate, operating a turning device, turning an arm at a desired angle, opening the catching device by operation of the open and closing device and releasing the spreading plate on the conveyer device. CONSTITUTION:In the objective device, a catching part 13 (constituted of finger 14 and rotating shaft 15, etc.) for holding the edge part 1a extending nearly vertically and upward from the both sides, an opening and closing device 16 (constituted of air cylinder 18, rod 19, folk end 20, lever 21, first gear shaft 22, first gear 23, second gear 24 and second gear shaft 25, etc.), an arm 7 for supporting the catching part 13 and the opening and closing device 16, supported rotatably around the shaft directly crossing to the face on which the spreading plate 1 exists and a turning device 8 (air cylinder 9, rod 10, rack 11 and pinion 12, etc.) for turning the arm 7 are provided.
