FORMED BOARD MAINLY MADE OF NATURAL VEGETABLE FIBER SUCH AS OIL PALM FIBER AND JUTE FIBER AND THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To obtain a board, which is equipped with waterproofness, water repellency and air permeability and has flame retardancy and rigidity by a method wherein the central hollow fruit chamber, at the outer periphery of which a large number of simple fruits are to be developed, of oil palm fluit is dried, splitted and cut into chips so as to be formed under compression and heat under the condition being added with adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The kind and amount of adhesive to be used can be set arbitrarily in accordance with the end in use of the board to be formed. Further, the mixture of jute fider and/or wooden chip or the like with hollow fruit chamber fiber can be used as major stock. Furthermore, by forming under compression and heat, stock can be formed into board, which has smooth surfaces and one side or both the sides of which are tongued and grooved surfaces. By combining and bonding the bards with and to one another, laminated board or hollow board can be produced. And, the air permeable board can be used as the windbreak layer 24 of the heat insulating structure 20 of wall.
