PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism of construction as well as shorten the period of construction by a method in which a ringed trench is formed by the first shield excavator, a peripheral hood is projected, and the water-stop plate of the second shield excavator is contacted with the inner surface of the peripheral hood to form a ringed wall. CONSTITUTION:The first and second shield excavators 1 and 19 are each started from two points a given docking point is reached, and the rotation of the cutter wheel 5 of the excavator 1 is stopped. A blade 4 is then projected forwards while being turned, and a ringed trench 26 is formed by rotation of an expanded beam 11 and a peripheral hood 16 is projected.
