PURPOSE:To obtain a regular coating amt. in a short time by providing a change-over valve immediately before a coating head, furnishing a bypass system for returning a coating soln., and previously filling the head with the coating soln. when coating is started or resumed. CONSTITUTION:In the method for coating a magnetic soln. on a long-sized and wide carrier by using an extrusion-type coating device, the change-over valve 8 is provided immediately before the coating head 5, and the bypass system 7 for returning the coating soln. is furnished. Before coating is started or resumed, the coating head 5 is previously filled with the coating soln., the coating soln. is sent to the bypass system by the change-over valve 8, the change-over valve 8 is switched when coating is started or resumed, and the coating soln. is sent to the coating head 5. Consequently, the coating amt. is uniformized, and the yield of products is improved.
