PURPOSE:To provide safe operation with no play of a fork by furnishing a lock piece at a finger fixed to a lift bracket of a mast, installing a stopper at an upper fork bar moving sideways, and sensing the wear limit of liner. CONSTITUTION:The top of an upper finger 3A fastened to a lift bracket 2 of a mast is detained with the hook part 5A' of an upper shifter 5A through a liner 4. This upper shifter 5A is fixed to an upper fork bar 6A of a fork 8 to make sideways movement. A lock piece 14 is welded to the bottom of the upper finger 3A so as to face a stopper 15 mounted on the upper for bar 6A with a gap C between. When the liner 4 wears to attain the limit, the stopper 15 comes in contact with the lock piece 14. Thereby it is known that the liner 4 has come to its wear limit, which accomplishes safe operation without play.
