ROMAN CHARACTER AND CHINESE CHARACTER CONVERSION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable a user not to be troubled with the change of a mode and the like by automatically deciding whether a word automatically inputted at present has the expression of Japanese or the expression of the other language with the aid of a restriction condition concerning to the appearance of a character in the expression of Roman character ordinarily used when Japanese is inputted. CONSTITUTION:A character row characteristic detection part 102 monitors a character row which is getting to be stored in an input buffer 101 and decides whether the character string inputted at present is a character string allowed by a main language or not. A conversion control part 103 optionally starts a main language conversion processing part 104 or a sub main language conversion processing part 105 according to the information of language sort inputted by the detection part 102 and outputs a returned result as a conversion result. The processing part 104 retrieves the word of the main language from the input of the Roman character expression by using a main language conversion dictionary 106 and outputs the result of that to the control part 103. The sub processing part 105 retrieves the word of a sub language from the input of the Roman character expression by using a sub language conversion dictionary 107 and outputs the result of that to the control part 103. Thus the Japanese input with the little burden of the user can be realized.
