CALCULATING METHOD FOR ROUTE OF REFLECTED SOUND IN CLOSED-SPACE SOUND FIELD

PURPOSE: To provide a method by which the route of reflected sounds in a closed-space sound field can be calculated in a short time without deteriorating the strictness. ;CONSTITUTION: The advances of sound rays radiated at regular intervals in the radial direction from a sound source are successively traced and, at the same time, whether or not reflecting surfaces intersecting the sound rays meet a prescribed condition is discriminated. Then whether or not the sound rays advancing through the reflecting surfaces meeting the condition pass by a sound receiving point is discriminated and, when it is discriminated that the sound rays pass by the point, the history of the sound rays is discriminated as a temporary route of reflected sounds. The mirror image point of each reflecting surface forming the temporary route are generated and the propriety of the temporary route is discriminated by establishing reflecting points by successively tracing each mirror image point from the sound receiving point based on the generated mirror image points.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
