PURPOSE:To lessen influence of radiations, eliminate complicated works, and enable continuous monitoring for the dissolving reaction by sensing change in the potential of an electrode chamber in communication with a gelatine bridge with a vessel accommodating a solvent liquid. CONSTITUTION:A dissolution monitor includes a dissolving chamber 1 fitted with an indication electrode 6 and an electrode chamber in which a reference electrode 7 is installed. Between them a vessel to accommodate a fuel solvent liquid 19 is installed and connected with the electrode chamber through a gelatine bridge 16. This gelatine bridge prevents ions such as NO3- in the solvent liquid 19 from moving to the electrode chamber for the reference electrode 7. The indication electrode 6 and reference electrode 7 are connected with a potentiometer 9 so as to measure the oxidation/reduction potential in the system continuously. With start of dissolution, NOx gas is generated to cause the oxidation/reduction potential to shift to the base side, and when the dissolution reaction of the fuel is finished and generation of NOx gas is stopped, the oxidation/reduction potential shifts back to the noble side. Thus the fuel dissolving situation can be monitored easily through measuring of the oxidation/reduction potential continuously.
