PRODUCTION OF POROUS MEMBRANOUS HOLLOW TUBE OF ETHYLENE-TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE COPOLYMER

PURPOSE:To enable the efficient obtaining of a porous membranous hollow tube, having a stable shape and useful for humidifiers. CONSTITUTION:The outer periphery of a core material 1 having a prescribed outside diameter is coated with a raw material resin obtained by mixing and melting an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene(ETFE) copolymer with a vinylidene fluoride(VDF)-based copolymer and inorganic powder according to a prescribed composition to form a thin-film coating layer 2. In extruding the VDF-based copolymer after cooling and curing, a phenomenon in which the thin-film coating layer is swelled is utilized to pull out and remove the core material 1. Thereby, this porous membranous hollow tube is produced.
