PURPOSE: To provide a pilling-resistant fiber, pilling-resistant fiber structure and a method for providing fiber obtained by common spinning and drawing with pilling resistance without adding a specific chemical. ;CONSTITUTION: There is provided a polyester fiber which has correlation between intrinsic viscosity and elongation in a specific region and shows pilling resistance. A polyester fiber spun and drawn by a conventional method is sprayed with steam at ≥160°C and hydrolyzed to impart pilling resistance to the fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
