PURPOSE: To optionally control a mechanochemical group material and to carry out continuous operation by varying the volume of a high molecular compound according to change in a hydrogen ion concentration or salt concentration in liquid and transferring a hydrogen ion or a salt in the liquid by a photosensitive compound when light is radiated. ;CONSTITUTION: In an optical mechanochemical device, a high molecular compound powder body 1, whose volume is varied according to a change in hydrogen ion concentration, a small globule 2, in which a protein accepting light and carrying a hydrogen ion is combined, and a solution are filled in the inside of a cylinder 3, and a loading body 4 is arranged on the upper face of the liquid. When light is radiated to the cylinder 3 from a light source 5, ion concentration in the liquid is changed by the small globule 2, and according to this, the volume of the high molecular compound powder body 1 is changed, so that work is applied to the loading body 4 on the cylinder 3.
