Granular herbicide constituent null for dry-field farming

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled herbicide composition having excellent diffusibility into soil of plowed field, applicable without causing drifting and having stable herbicidal effect, by supporting a 2,6-dinitroaniline herbicide and a specific compound as active components on a granular carrier. CONSTITUTION:A 2,6-dinitroaniline herbicide such as pendimethalin, etc., and one or more kinds of the compounds of formula I (R1 is H or 1-4C lower alkyl; R2 is 1-6C lower alkyl or cyclohexyl) such as 3-dimethyldiphenyl or compound of formula II (R3 is 1-3C lower alkyl; n is 1 or 2) such as 2- methylnaphthalene are supported on a granular carrier containing =95% particles having particle diameter of 180-710mum such as pumice. The objective granular agent is produced by subjecting the supported product to adsorptive impregnation process preferably by heating a solid agricultural chemical component at or above its melting point and impregnating the molten component into the granular carrier. EFFECT:The granular agent can be easily produced giving little color contamination of production apparatus.
