PURPOSE: To move an object freely by dispensing with wiring between a light emitting device and a distance measuring device and to eliminate a generation source of radiation noise. ;CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device 2 installed in an object is provided with a pin photodiode 8, whose output signal is inputted to a LED light emitting circuit 5 via a delay circuit 6. On the other hand, a LED 15 is provided in a distance measuring device 3, and the LED 15 is driven in advance of a position detecting action in a position detecting controlling circuit 13, and then, light is cast to the pin photodiode 8, A driving signal of an infrared ray LED 4 is fed to the light emitting device 2 by the LED 15 and the pin photodiode 8 by means of optical communication.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
