PURPOSE: To make it possible for a handicapped person to transfer between a bed and a wheelchair by himself's operation. ;CONSTITUTION: Bridge frames 28 which are rotatable around a shaft center in the forward and backward direction around the height of a seat and are to be left and right outer walls when they stand and become ridge seats for a handicapped person to move and transfer to the bed side when they are fallen down outside, are provided on both left and right sides of the seat with a back sheet 22 equipped on the wheel body 1 side of a wheelchair. A link mechanism 14 rocking forward and backward a wheel shaft of a rear wheel to the backward side in such a way that a rear wheel 12 positioned outside of the frame 28 does not interfere the frame 28 rotating and falling down outside, is constituted. An operating lever 17 for rotating and operating the link mechanism 14 is arranged between the frame 28 and a rear wheel 12 positioned outside thereof and the lever 17 and the link mechanism are coupled with each other in such a way that the lever 17 is rotated up and down outside of the frame and the rear wheel 12 is moved forward and backward.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
