PURPOSE: To provide a device for cutting an Al wire on the periphery of a power transmission line easily without damaging a steel core wire, obviating the necessity of expertise. ;CONSTITUTION: A cutter device 3 is installed in a vertically movable manner at the side part of a clamping device 2 for holding a power transmission line W. On the frame 11 of the cutter device 3, cutters 9 and 10 are held, and a hydraulic cylinder 12 is installed in the upper part. On the cutters 9 and 10, recessed places 9a and 10a for cutting an Al wire A on the outer periphery, leaving a steel core wire S, are formed. The upper part of the cutter 9 is joined with a piston 14, and held in a vertically movable manner on the frame 11, and the cutter 10 is fixed on the frame 11. A stopper 14a is installed on the piston 14, and allows the cutting edge 9b to coincide with the holding center 0 of the clamping device 2 when contacting the upper part stopper 5.
