TESTING METHOD AND TESTING DEVICE FOR CONFIRMING CABLE CONNECTION

PURPOSE:To omit the operation test of an equipment in the replacement, attachment and removal of a power cable, and reduce the manday of worker by making a direct current flow to each line core of a power cable, measuring the DC voltage between phases of the equipment load side, and judging the justice of connection by this voltage value. CONSTITUTION:Before the replacement, attachment and removal of a power cable 5, a DC power supplying machine 14 having a resistor 10, a switch 11 and an ammeter 12 in a circuit having storage batteries 9 arranged in series is connected to each phase terminal 4 in a power source board 3 with a vinyl-insulated cable 15. The switch 11 of the supplying machine 13 is operated and 'closed', and a direct current is made to flow to each line core of the cable 5. In a terminal 12 in an electric motor terminal box 1, the DC voltage between phases is measured and recorded by use of a watthour meter 14, the switch 11 of the supplying machine 13 is closed, and the supplying machine 13 is removed from the terminal 4 in the board 3 to replace the cable. After the connection of the cable 5, the DC voltage between the respective phases is measured with the watthour meter 14 in the terminal 2 within the terminal box 1 in the same procedure as the above. In case of an erroneous connection, a negative value is generated in the DC voltage value, and it can be found which case has the erroneous connection.
