PLASTER ANTIPHLOGISTIC ANALGESIC PLASTER FOR EXTERNAL USE

PURPOSE: To provide an antiphlogistic analgesic plaster for external use containing a salt of diclofenac and cyclic org. base as an effective component which shows good releasing and absorbing property. CONSTITUTION: This plaster contains a salt of diclofenac [2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)- amino]-benzenacetic acid] and a cyclic org. base expressed by formula [X is (CH2 )m and m is 0 or 1, and n is 2] as the effective component by 0.1 to 5.0 wt.%. A pH controlling agent is used to control pH of the drug to 7.3 to 9.0. Further, if necessary, a thickener, moisture holding agent, excipient, antiseptic and crosslinking agent are properly compounded and kneaded. The kneaded material is then spread on a base body to produce a drug. As for the cyclic org. base expressed by the formula, hydroxyethylpyrolidine is used. As for the supporting body, for example, a laminated material of a nonwoven fabric and a plastic film is used.
