PURPOSE: To obtain a low-medium strength UOE line pipe excellent in sulfide stress cracking resistance in the weld zone by producing a UOE line pipe having a specified componental compsn. in which Ca is added and the width of the group of oxide is limited. ;CONSTITUTION: A line pipe having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.03 to 0.09% C, 0.1 to 0.4% Si, 0.5 to 1.0% Mn, ≤0.015% P, ≤0.0010% S, 0.010 to 0.050% Nb, 0.005 to 0.03% Al, 0.001 to 0.003% Ca and 0.005 to 0.025% Ti, satisfying the inequality of (%Ca) [1-98(%O)](%S)1.7 and in which, among oxides present in groups, the width of the group of CaO.Al2O3-based oxide is regulated to ≤200μ and the width of the group of Al2O3.SiO2-based oxide is regulated to ≤100μ is prepd. In this way, the line pipe of X 42 to 52 in an API grade having excellent sulfide stress cracking resistance in the weld zone in a humid hydrogen sulfide environment can be obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
