CONTROLLING METHOD FOR MAGNETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF GARNET FILM FOR MAGNETO-OPTICAL RECORDING

PURPOSE: To control CFe/CR of a garnet crystal, and coercive force Hc at temp. for measurement (or at temp. for use of the medium), compensation temp. Tcomp, and Curie temp. Tc, and saturation magnetization Ms of a magneto- optical recording medium to the optimum values. ;CONSTITUTION: When a garnet is crystallized on a substrate 2, another phase (crystalline structure) except for the garnet is produced by controlling the combination of the compsn. of target 1 and conditions of heat treatment. By this method, CFe/CR in the garnet crystal, and saturation magnetization Ms, coercive force Hc, compensation temp. Tcomp, and Curie temp.
