PURPOSE: To synchronously reproduce an image and a sound appended to the image even on the way of reproduction by shifting the reproduction start time of image information and acoustic information from the time difference generated by a decoder for image information and acoustic information. ;CONSTITUTION: A regenerative signal source 1 sends the regenerative object data string of both the compressed image data, which also the time information to be displayed as one part of data, and the acoustic data compressed at a certain rate without having the time information to be outputted as data although the start is coincident with the start of the image, to a transmission line 9. In the case of reproduction, when the time difference is defined to be already known between the time to first simultaneously to be outputted and the time when the sound appended to the image is outputted, the time output the acoustic data at the time point of reproduction being started on the way of time series is calculated.
