PURPOSE: To reduce the action resulted from nickel and vanadium in the fluid catalytic cracking of metal-contaminated heavy oil. ;CONSTITUTION: The fluid catalytic cracking catalyst for metal-contaminated heavy oil consists of the catalyst particle obtained by mixing the zeolite catalyst which contains the hydrated magnesium silicate having high specific surface area and/or the treated hydrated magnesium silicate having high specific surface area obtained by decomposision under heating or by steam treatment thereof, or containing both. Thus, the increase of hydrogen and coke resulted from a poisonous metal and the deterioration of catalyst activity and selectivity are prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
