WELDING METHOD OF STEEL STRUCTURE IN SERVICE

PURPOSE: To simply and surely form a weld joint capable of welding a steel structure in service, not generating defect in the case of subjecting to vibration, etc., and having enough strength. ;CONSTITUTION: The method has one process to measure a degree of vibration and variation of displacement on a steel structure in service and the other process to decide as to whether defect is caused at welding based on acquired information, weld joint shape, etc., the decision is executed by evaluation factor at the decision process. Also, for an welding bead initial layer at welding, a special electrode, which is excellent in welding crack resistance than an applicable electrode, is used. Further, by structuring of an expert system such that a computer executes the decision, which is based on data accumulated by an expert having sophisticated knowledge, the decision is appropriately executed on site.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
