HEAT-CURING SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITIN AND SILICONE RUBBER SPONGE

PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition which is excellent in storage stability and curability and can give a silicone rubber sponge with excellent surface curability in heated air by mixing a specified polydiorganosiloxane with a specified polyorganohydrogensiloxane and a platinum catalyst in a specified ratio. ;CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polydiorganosiloxane having an organic group selected from among methyl, phenyl and 3,3,3- trifluoropropyl and having at least two vinyl groups on the average per molecule (e.g. dimethylvinylsilyl-terminated polymethylvinylsiloxane), 0.1-10 pts.wt. polyorganohydrogensiloxane having at least two Si-bonded hydrogen atoms on the average per molecule (e.g. trimethylsilyl-terminated polymethylhydrogensiloxane) and 0.00005-0.2 pt.wt. platinum catalyst comprising a reaction product of an azodicarboxylic acid with a platinum compound (e.g. chloroplatinic acid) and effecting the addition reaction of the vinyl groups with the Si-bonded hydrogen atoms in the above two components.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
