摘要

PURPOSE: To measure the dynamic property of a bone by transmitting ultrasonic waves through a soft tissue around the bone by transmitting the waves through an interposed object and, at the same time, through a solid object in nearly parallel with the surface of the bone. ;CONSTITUTION: The dynamic property of a solid object (a bone in a living body) 16 having a surface is judged through an interposed medium 20. An ultrasonic transmitter 10 positioned to a first position transmits ultrasonic waves through the medium 20 and, at the same time, through a solid object 16 in nearly parallel with the surface. Ultrasonic receivers 12a and 12b are positioned to second and third positions which are provided on the same line as the first position to which the transmitter 10 is positioned at distances S1 and S2 so that the traveling time of the waves from the surface to the receiver 12a can become nearly equal to that from the surface to the receiver 12b. When the receiving time of the receiver 12a becomes nearly equal to that of the receiver 12b, the dynamic property of the solid object 16 is calculated from the ultrasonic waves transmitted from the transmitter 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
